Amara Junior Kamara, a security guard made another appearance before Magistrate Augustine Brima Samura of Pademba Road court No.4 in Freetown on a count charge of larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, on Tuesday 29th April 2025 at off Spur Road, Lumley in the western area of Freetown, did steal four rolls of four mini meter core flex cable, four rolls of eleven single earth cable and other assorted items equivalent to the total value of fifty six thousand two hundred and twenty leones (56,220) property of Design and Building Construction Limited whilst in custody of Cons Crop Security Company.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused, no plea taken.
The prosecutor Inspector Tejan A. Bangura sought for a short adjournment date because his witness was absent,
Counsel representing the accused person L. Ellis Esq. renewed and adopted his previous bail applications on behalf of the accused.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Samura granted bail to the accused in the sum of sixty five thousand leones with two sureties in like sum and they should be originally resident in the western area in Freetown and should produce valid national passport or a national identity cards depicting their address in Freetown and bail to be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar and matter was adjourned to 2nd June, 2025.
