In a significant step towards decentralising service delivery, the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) Mile 91 Office has successfully printed its first-ever vehicle license. The historic event was witnessed by key stakeholders from the community.
Present at the event were representatives from the Sierra Leone Police (SLP), the Bike Riders Union (BRU), the Drivers’ Union, and various companies operating within Youni Chiefdom.
During the occasion, stakeholders were briefed on the ongoing reforms by the Authority, including the upcoming introduction of mandatory First Aid Kits for vehicles. These reforms are part of a broader strategy to enhance road safety and improve service accessibility nationwide.
Excited about the development, both bike riders and drivers expressed enthusiasm and pledged to begin processing their licenses at the Mile 91 office.
The event was a memorable milestone for the community, with stakeholders pledging continued support and collaboration with the local office.
Executive Director James Bagie Bio and the entire SLRSA management remain committed to making the Authority’s services more accessible to Sierra Leoneans nationwide.
