Oh Salone! When will the leaders of this small kingdom listen to the voice of those they claim they are representing?

When it comes to matter of wanting positions whether through elections or otherwise, we always see people making lofty promises they very well know they will never fulfill in their life time.

No sooner they are given the opportunity, than they choose to do something entirely different with lot of excuses.

This is exactly why this republic is still pegged at the bottom of every development ladder.

Imagine, even when the patriotic bird has severally and tirelessly drawn the attention of our government that certain government functionaries do not worth their salts, the former seem not have shown interest at all, that is more the reason he will continue to hit the nail on the head.

Bra Parrot is not a fire-brigade journalist like others, after putting off the fire that is the end of the case, which is why, they always keep seal lips on wrong things even if they know they may have the potential to undermine the development of this kingdom.

The bird loves his people and by extension Mama Salone whose birthday will be celebrated on April 27th to make her 64 years.  But what has she got to show for all the year she has lived? Virtually nothing, it’s really pathetic. It’s like living among plenty but still wallow in poverty.

Despite what those leaders in positions have continue to inflict on this our native land, Bra Parrot as a true nationalist will always want to see this impoverished country grow at every tick of the clock.

There is no doubt about it that certain people especially those in position of trust always find pleasure to amass wealth for themselves and their families at the detriment of the poor masses without mercy, which is why the bird will continue to unearth the odds in society to put them on their toes.

My fellow citizens will attest to the fact that this is not the first time the wise bird is talking about the noise in the city and other things that are affecting the people as an instance that those at the helm of state affairs are not responsible.

Time without number, the bird has called the attention of the Freetown city Mayor to address this deafening noise situation in the capital but without success, whilst innocent people continue to grumble.

This ‘I don’t care’ situation has only given more opportunity to these lawless and unruly traders to continue making noise with their loud-speakers and mega-phones all-over the city to show their goods to buyers.

Even the main opposition APC party expected to stand up for the people are in fact more than the word failure as they are all birds of the same feathers.

The traders are taking advantage of the fact that, Mayor Aki Sawyerr is now more interested in the leadership of the APC to become the country’s next president come 2028 than paying attention to her present job.

As a result, the traders have taken chances to continue making noise in the city without respect for the peace of others less to talk of respect for the law.

All those responsible for taking care of the city including the Mayor are very much comfortable with the noise, their only interest for now is how to collect market-dues from traders to line their individual pockets.

As a result of this unpatriotic and corrupt behaviour, the angry bird has also brought the attention of the central government to this ugly development for immediate action but like the former, they all have failed the people.

This situation has also brought to mind the poor construction work done at Fourah Bay Road approaching Eastern police station which has led to the creation of artificial stream in that area.

The bird will continue to make the loudest noise until something is done.

The Parrot did not contact anybody this time because everybody knows about the noise in the city and the poor contraction work done at Eastern police station, Goderich Street and other parts across the city.
