The most respected and uncompromising animal is a friend to all the political parties in the country, particularly the two main parties in the country, APC and SLPP.

The bird has a lot of friends and almost on a daily basis, the bird visits the two offices to meet friends and talk about the good-old-days.

Over the week-end, the bird flew from his usual sitting place to the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) office to meet with friends.

On arrival at the party office the bird noticed that their usual sitting place to make fun was partly empty, and the brave bird now starts to wonder why that is so.

The few people the bird met claimed not to be happy for being neglected by some senior members of the party.

They told the bird that, most of the other members had gone in search of food and other items for their children.

Their explanations to the bird was that, most of the senior party members including government ministers hardly visit the party office these days to show appreciation to other junior members.

One member even told the bird that, President Bio had taken months, if not a year, without visiting the party office. Not only that, all the lofty promises President Bio made during campaign time are all fake, he told the bird.

We have been abandoned by the party, one member who gave his name as Alpha Tommy told the brave bird; adding 2028 is not far away they will need us again to vote.

At the moment, some of the big guys are moving up and down campaigning to become President come 2028, we are as well waiting on them.

We are just praying for good health and long life come 2028; five (5) years is not the end of the world, the SLPP guys said to the bird.

On a daily basis, the party office is getting emptier and emptier because of the attitude of some senior party members and their greediness, they said, “we are not happy some of us are very angry with the party.”

The problem in the SLPP is more than that of the APC, let’s wait and see.

The brave bird left the office in shame because the bird was expecting that as the party in power, members should be carrying the party shoulder high for the 2028 elections.

Thank God the Wise Bird is not a member of any of the political party; he is just a spectator to see how things are unfolding.
