The wise bird has noticed of late that, lawlessness is not only with other civil servants, but it cuts across Sierra Leone.
Senior citizens in this small kingdom are also part of the lawless attitude, to say the least.
This has been demonstrated by one of the most respected gentleman in the Republic, with no less a person but the Honorable Speaker of the House of Parliament.
The first gentleman in the Honorable House of Parliament has given a very strong warning to all Members of Parliament for them to respect the law.
According to that information the Speaker warned that the behaviour of some.
Members will surely jeopardize not only the capacity to form a quorum in Parliament but also the integrity of the House to undertake essential legislative activity in the House.
In a very angry mood, he said Members of Parliament are in the habit of going to Parliament very late and sometime would even fail even to attend sittings which will affect the work of the House.
The Speaker went further to say that, the issue of MPs coming to Parliament late or many a time absenting themselves is not a new phenomenon, but it has been a perennial problem for decades among MPs.
He has however, called on politicians to change their attitudes of which he described as a behavior that has gone for as a lengthy history of ignoring the people’s concerns…especially now that the country is facing economic and infrastructure crisis.
The first gentleman in the House of Parliament was very practical in his choice of his words, by saying that since Independence Politicians have taken the people for granted – – milking the people and leaving them impoverished.
Adding that, the lives of Politicians are better while the people’s lives are miserable.
The wise bird loves people who at every given time hit the nail on the head.
BRAVO Mr. SPEAKER, the wise bird dove its heart to you sir.
