Under the axiom of “Corruption Fight”, championed by President Julius Maada Bio, in his Campaign manifesto, he promised the People of the Republic of Sierra Leone a fight against Corruption, but the very fight looked rocky, shaky and even muggy from its inception .
The formation of the institution of the Anti-Corruption Commission of Sierra Leone headed by Mr. Francis Ben Kaifala is a disaster and a looming calamity for the people of Sierra Leone and the New Direction Establishment whose promised of Corruption fight has increasingly undermined the process of the Anti-Corruption fight by his own political ambition, and failed to define its purpose.
The paradigm of the Anti-corruption Commission has shifted but the big question now is, Is fighting Corruption a rational policy of the New Direction Government? Our politicians and some government officials have been engaging in illegal activities without any fear of being caught or prosecuted and they are woefully acting to uphold Corruption rather than moral Values.
President Bio’s Corruption Fight Pledge has been recklessly undermined by the institution he created to deter Corruption headed by Ben Kaifala due to his dangerous and arrogant scheming in his Corruption fight.
As a deal-maker, the institution has never stopped trumpeting its fiasco and brilliance double standard. The formation of the Anti-Corruption Commission of Sierra Leone is Calamitous to the People of Sierra Leone with Shameful Corruption appeasement, which has led to a total betrayal and evidently more corruption practiced by the higher eceheleon who are never caught and if ever they are, they will slip through slippery bureaucratic fingers.
As head of the Anti-corruption Commission of Sierra Leone, Ben Kaifala thinks he is winning his battle against Corruption fight, which is a total malign and wrong trust to the People of Sierra Leone, but not knowing that he has shredded the rulebook the Commission was created to uphold.
Can the Anti-corruption Commission take charge of its own destiny? Mr Ben Kaifala’s leadership of the anti-Corruption Commission has harboured irrational animosity and lack of integrity towards the Corruption fight in Sierra Leone as the big political looters are fleecing freely with the country’s looted wealth.
The people of Sierra Leone were expecting a tougher Stance from the Commissioner, but yet he became a Currying favour and a Vindication of the people of Sierra Leone who had seen the anti-corruption Commission as a political gimmick, witch-hunt especially of the powerless and a fruitless endeavour.
Under the leadership of Ben Kaifala, the ethos of the Anti-Corruption of Sierra Leone has been torpedoed, and the institution has lost its dignity and the Citadel as an anti-corruption Commission.
The people of Sierra Leone are furious with the outcome of the Anti-Corruption Commission, whose method of handling Corruption is Paralysing the fight and engaging in tearing down the integrity of the institution. Mr. Ben Kaifala’s unconvincing line of approach to the Corruption fight Never resonates with the purpose of the institution.
Sierra Leoneans will hold the Anti-Corruption chief to account for abetting Corruption and for failing to execute his role effectively because he allowed himself to be thwarted by the establishment that is unwilling to fight Corruption with punitive measures, and failed to execute justice on the big elephants who are the state looters.
The people of Sierra Leone put so much faith in Ben Kaifala when he assumed the leadership of the Anti-Corruption Commission, but in the end, it didn’t look good for the Citizens of Sierra Leone as Integrity, basic truth, and Justice seems to disappear .
Indeed, this is an unpleasant moment for Sierra Leoneans in their Corruption fight as the Anti-Corruption Commission’s caution and hesitation have damaged the whole process due to the tribal, regional, and Partisan Political System that is displayed in our country and has damaged the New Direction Establishment full Commitment to its Corruption fight.
What a U-turn and backtrack by the New Direction Establishment on its promised Corruption fight. This failed action has helped undermine the public trust in the Corruption fight. Ben Kaifala and His Anti-Corruption Commission have damaged the reputation and Integrity of the Commission and opened a path in which the people no longer trust the whole process.
Mr. Ben Kaifala’s Corruption Commission is far from perfect, and its flaws are Catastrophic, with indictments against Corrupt Officials achieving no better outcome. There is an obvious irony that Sierra Leone will never be better in its Corruption fight, as our political and moral interests are all aligned with Corruption.
The Anti-Corruption Commission’s approach to the Corruption fight in Sierra Leone is deeply mistrusted with dangerous moral relativism. The corruption Fight by the Anti-corruption Commission is just an empty phrase, and the whole process has been a failure due to the wrenching punch by the head of the Commission.
Francis Ben Kaifala’s leadership has now been buoyed by hopes for a fresh replacement due to his failure to fully articulate a compelling vision for the corruption fight in Sierra Leone, rather than to become an accomplice of the very Corruption itself.
With the current spate of Corruption in Sierra Leone, there is still not a concerted effort to present a positive vision for the Corruption fight in Sierra Leone, as Corruption is striking back with hatred, greed and arrogance.
As patriotic Sierra Leoneans, let us take a realistic look at the viability of the very Corruption fight promised by the New Direction Government and how the establishment has responded to the chaos surrounding the Anti-Corruption Commission that has received a dimmed and inconvenience political admiration from the people of Sierra Leone.
Ben Kaifala’s leadership role in the Anti-corruption Commission of Sierra Leone epitomises the absurdity gripping the Corruption fight, and his Cherry -picking beliefs of fake outrage and pledges are poisoning the minds of the citizens about his Commission’s echo Chamber which is morally idiotic.
Sierra Leone is indeed stuck with the worst institution at the moment to fight Corruption as the formation of the anti-Corruption Commission is perceived as self-aggrandisement and an institution that failed to reiterate its commitment to fight Corruption.
Indeed we are in a frightening era of Corruption and a nightmare for the people of Sierra Leone. The Anti-corruption Commission is now showing its ugly realities of cherry-picking in its Corruption fight, and the long-hyped war against Corruption is ending in a shamble as the institution acted to uphold bribery rather than moral values.
The big question now is, Is the Anti-corruption Commission Optimistic about its Corruption Fight? Or Can Corruption be defeated in Sierra Leone when the Spirit of Optimism becomes the opening dark chapter of Corruption fight betrayal, and our political and moral attitudes are all aligned with Corruption.
LONG LIVE THE PEOPLE OF SIERRA LEONE AND
GOD BLESS US ALL!!
