Bra Parrot being a typical native of this country and a strong believer of the religious fates, firmly believes in the existence of life after death.
Given this background, the wise bird holds the view that, some of the problems humans are facing today cannot be unconnected with the inhumane and nefarious activities they are engaged in.
Over the weekend, the bird decided to reflect on life after death and therefore took a short stroll at the Kissy Road cemetery to see what the situation is like at the cemetery.
Flying slowing along the main cemetery gate at about 5pm, Parrot saw very thick smoke rising from the centre and some guess what? The kush boys were sitting on top of the graves smoking jamba, kush and other dangerous substances to the discomfort of those who were passing through the cemetery.
Attracted by the ugly sight, the wise bird drew closer and overheard people around the area grumbling that the cemetery for some time now not been taken care off by those responsible.
This unhealthy situation angered the patriotic and patient bird who believes that people must respect the dead by always keeping the cemeteries decent and quiet so that they will continue to rest in peace, given that cemeteries are permanent places for everybody young or old.
We must always bear in mind that, all of us are going to die and be laid to rest in a cemetery where we expect to lie until judgement day when we shall rise again.
Bra Parrot is once more warning cemetery workers in every part of the city and also other people who are fond of misusing the cemeteries to desist forthwith or Freetown City Council will take serious action against them.
We must allow the dead to rest. Kush boys must stop and give the dead peace at their resting places.
Lonta!
