Forty two years old Hassan Turay a driver made another appearance before magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road court No.1 on two count charges to wit Conspiracy to commit a crime contrary to law and Fraudulent Conversion contrary to section 20 (1) (4) (b) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offense on Wednesday 19th March, 2025 at the National Petroleum (NP) Sierra Leone Limited Kissy Terminal, the western area in Freetown conspired together with other persons unknown to commit a crime to wit fraudulent conversion.
Count two further stated that on the same date and place the accused fraudulently converted into his own use and benefit Fourteen Thousand, Nine Hundred and Eighty (14,980) liters of diesel value Three Hundred and Ninety-Five Thousand, Four Hundred and Seventy-Two Leones (NLe 395,472) entrusted to you for the purpose of delivery- property of the National Petroleum
