The Chairman of the Public Account Committee has ordered the clerk of his committee to invite the Union Trust Bank (UTB) in parliament.
The summon was in respect of SLRSA’s fund paid to the bank but which never reflected.
The speaker has also ordered the SLRSA to bring all the bank statements of the institution for scrutiny.
Hon. Tawa said the authority cannot reconcile revenue that they’ve collected, adding that the reconciliation should be daily.
He said people should treat the institution very seriously.
He said there are implications for the failure to reconcile monies collected.
“We are going to write Union Trust Bank and we are going to get our money. Don’t come for a budget here. You will not have access to government’s funds because you are not reconciling,” Hon Tawa said.
The deputy speaker has also ordered the Director of Licence to attend parliament summon.
“If we continue to sit here, I will continue to deduct his salary,” Hon. Tawa.
