The Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation has held a two day workshop for the validation of the Strategic Plan 2025 to 2035. The event was held at Njala Venue hall in Bo city.
Delivering the keynote address on behalf of the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, the professional head of the ministry Engineer, Augustine Tucker maintained that the Strategic Plan 2025- 2035 geared towards reviewing, validating and shaping the strategic direction of the WASH sector for the next decade, adding that it marks a critical milestone in ‘our journey towards ensuring universal access to safe water, improved sanitation and better hygiene for all Sierra Leoneans.
In his address as the professional head, said that the key phases of the Strategic Plan Development Process are preparation and stakeholder engagement, situation analysis and needs assessment, vision, mission and strategic goals formulation, resource planning and budgeting and implementation and monitoring.
The Deputy Secretary in the ministry, Raymond Komba chaired the ceremony also made brilliant contributions on the way forward on the workshop.
Various MDAs also made their own meaningful contributions.
