Everything under the sun has a time; even the Holy Bible speaks about it that there is time to born and time to die.
After almost two decades, the Sewa Grounds will be in operation anytime from now.
According to information, the three floor building with approximately 1,244 market stalls will soon be handed to a set of people to manage its affairs.
However, the completion of the Sewa Grounds market is a significant step by way of reducing traders on the streets of Freetown.
The bird went out to get the views of the general public as to what is their assessment about the Sewa Grounds market.
Most of the people the bird contacted expressed disaffection over the delay in the construction of the building.
Some people have put the blame squarely on National Social Security Insurance Trust (NASSIT) as they are responsible for the delay, others said the government was buying time to say it is their handy work to gain political points from the people.
The question on peoples’ lips is who will be in-charge of the stalls, is it the Freetown city Council (FCC) or NASSIT?
Some of the people have also raised concerns about the matainance of the building, knowing Sierra Leoneans of today of their attitude towards government’s property.
The other point that has been raised by the people is that are the traders ready and willing to move to the new building?
The bird is watching how things are unfolding in this Kingdom.
