For quite some time now the wise bird has been following the activities and operations of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party to know how the party Executive and by extension the National Advisory Committee (NAC) are handling its affairs.
Following intensive investigations, it has been revealed that there has been a heightened impasse in the party and is yet to be settled.
The bird has also been reliably informed that, the power-house of the party, the Secretary-General Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya was invited recently by the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) to defend the continuous unrest in the party.
According to report, he was unable to explain why there are still problems in the party as a result of certain cases which have not been attended to, taken into consideration the limited time the party has.
There is no secret about it that the APC executive has been accused of failing to bring permanent peace into the party.
To get more on the issue, the bird flew straight to the APC party headquarters on Old Railway Line, Brookfields in Freetown to contact senior party members on how far the Executive has gone to bring peace into the party. To the Parrot’s dismay, little or nothing has been done in that regard.
They even named names including the Secretary General Lansana Dumbuya Esq., the Deputy National Chairman Amb Osman Foday Yansaneh, Sidi Yayah Tunis the Publicity Secretary, claiming that they are the main source for all the problems in the party, given that they have not been able to tell the people the reality on ground or correct the wrongs.
They referenced the case of Sam-Sumana, where the party Secretary-General wrongly referred to him as Honorary Foundation member, but only registered in July, 2023. This forced them to ask a rhetoric question of how can a foundation member of a large and serious political party like APC be registered only in 2023.
The people in an angry mood said if the party Executive fails to put their house in order, the party will be taken to the national delegates’ convention by a different body instead of the national executive.
It is obvious that, the wise bird is always very quick to blow the whistle on important states issues.
