The Woman’s Premier League is expected to start in November 2025.
The Super Cup will serve as a curtain-raiser to the season and a landmark event in the ongoing growth of women’s football in Sierra Leone.
The inaugural Super Cup, organized by the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), will feature two of the country’s top women’s teams in a one-off fixture that highlights talent, preparation, and competitiveness ahead of the league campaign.
It aims to raise the national profile of women’s football and offer fans an exciting preview of the season to come.
The new league season, running through the 2025/2026 calendar, will deliver regular competitive fixtures that determine the national champion and reinforce Sierra Leone’s investment in professionalizing the women’s game.
This development marks a significant milestone for women’s football in the country. By introducing a Super Cup, the SLFA hopes to boost visibility, attract sponsorship, and generate greater fan engagement. The event also provides an opportunity to build opportunities for young talents in the future.
