Reports reaching Africa24 newspaper has revealed that one Abdulrahman Bangura of Tengbeh Town, Freetown has been declare wanted by the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) due to his involvement in the August 10, 2022 protest against the ruling government of President Julius Maada Bio that led to the death of six police officers and scores of civilians within the capital city in Freetown and other parts of the Northern region in Sierra Leone.
According to reports, Abdulrahman Bangura was allegedly accused by the police as one of the ring leaders of the deadly August 10 protest that government referred to as an insurgency; a ploy that is considered to topple the government of President Julius Maada Bio.
Following the discovery that Abdulrahman Bangura was among key leaders of the protest and played a pivotal role in an illegal protest against the state; a search warrant was conducted by security forces at his residence at Tengbeh Town in Freetown in order to apprehend him and bring him to book for an action that is deemed illegal and wanting to bring unrest in Sierra Leone. However, after several efforts to locate him, he was nowhere to been seen.
As a result of his disappearance the police have eventually declared him as a wanted person due to the active role he played to bring anarchy in order to wreck mayhem in Sierra Leone. See Police Wanted Notice.
