Ahead of the women’s tournament in the country, Liberia’s U-17 women’s national football team, have begun training sessions at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in preparation for the upcoming friendly tournament in Sierra Leone.
The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has called both Liberia’s U-17 and U-20 women’s teams to participate in this year’s international women’s football tournament.
The Liberia Football Association reports that the Head Coach Sekou Mulbah of the U-17 women’s team has expressed his passion for the competition, highlighting the need to better prepare his players for the next stage of the World Cup qualifiers.
However, the tournament will provide a valuable opportunity for young female athletes to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience while promoting gender equality.
