The Head Coach of Sierra Leone Amputee Football (SLAF) team, Abraham J. Bangura, has announced his 21-man squad ahead of Africa Amputee Football Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The objective of all sporting disciplines in the country is to participate in international tournaments to bring laurels home. But many haven’t made remarkable achievements over the years.
Sierra Leone’s amputee team will be participating in the Cairo competition in Egypt from April 19-28.
The amputee team is in the same group as Angola, Tanzania, and Rwanda.
For the African amputee family, this upcoming tournament will be another important milestone to showcase the ability of the players to the fans and the society in Africa and the world. It is believed that disability is not inability.
So Cairo is all set to host the African Amputee Football Nations Cup 2024 from 19-28 April 2024, and much is expected from Sierra Leone’s side.
The onlookers and football administrators across the globe are prepared to watch the upcoming tournament.
