Bra Parrot always call things by their correct and proper names no matter what, that is the reason why friends of the brave bird always listen when the bird is talking or making a statement relating to State matters.
The brave bird loves to read newspapers, listen to news on radio, watch Television (TV) and sometimes go to social media (WhatsApp) and the like.
In this case, the brave bird is not making a case for anybody, but just to tell the story as it is to the public without fear or favour.
Bra Parrot is of the view that, for someone to be a big-man or big-woman, is not the number of years that individual must have taken on planet earth is just ones behavior, the way he or she talk in public places, his or her interaction with people in society.
Big-man or woman think before talking and do not think after talking, which will be at his or her own detriment.
Sometime it takes Bra Parrot days if not months without going into the internet to know about the outside World. Two days ago a friend of Bra Parrot the Eagle came in for a visit, during the discussion, the Eagle showed the brave bird a video clip.
According to the video clip, one big-man was addressing a large crowd in the eastern part of the country, telling the people he, was addressing the promises he made before coming to power that, he did not fulfill up to date. The big-man was telling the people about the bread and butter issue that is yet to come, the stabilization of the economy which is a day dream, the Lungi Bridge that everybody was expecting in two year time that did not take off the ground.
In the process of explaining all he promised and did not do, listeners did not know whether it was deliberate or it was a mistake in talking when he referred to a fellow-big man as “ fulish-man”.
Bra Parrot could not believe when the story was told at first, it was only when the brave bird saw and listened to the video clip that makes the brave bird believe what the Eagle was saying. It took Bra Parrot time to be able to put one and one together to believe the statement made by a State-man and by extension a very big-man.
From the look of things, it seems polities has taken a different dimension in Sierra Leone, were big-men no-longer have respect for fellow big-men in society.
Bra Parrot views the situation as very unfortunate, election come and go but Sierra Leone remains, in that light, we as a people MUST have respect for ourselves at every given time.
Election is not like fighting a war, where one is always looking out for his or her enemy to be killed, it is not like that, election is just a way of bring people together to manage the affairs of the State.
If a big-men referring to other big-men as fulish-man, is a cause for concern.
