The wise bird has been very much disgusted with the present situation in the city in respect of the noise caused by traders using megaphones all over the city.
Freetown is much noisy these days that, nobody will hear what another person is saying to him.
Bra parrot flew from east to west just to find out whether the situation is all the same in terms of the noise.
To the dismay of the brave bird, all those selling water have megaphone, pepper sellers have megaphone, garrie sellers have megaphone, rice sellers have megaphone, drinks sellers have megaphone, cookery sellers have megaphone, so megaphones are all over the place with holders of them causing unnecessary noise at the disadvantage of peaceful citizens.
The wise bird noticed that, the question of megaphones is now a business thing between those using the megaphones and workers of the Freetown City Council especially the City Council Police.
When one kind of a megaphone is sized, the owner will in turn pay Nle 10 or more and the device is returned to the owner to continue with the noise.
The most respected, fearless and patriotic bird has come to the conclusion that, the Freetown City Council (FCC) does not worth its salt, if they do, they have all the powers to stop all the noise in the city but how can they, when even senior workers are part of the syndicate.
As usual the wise bird went out to get the views of the general public on the issue; according to what the brave bird had got from the people they say they are more disgusted than the wise bird.
All those the fearless bird spoke to from the anger in them in respect of the noise in the city they are very much up-set as they express annoyance to the wise bird.
Some of them only said it is a syndicate operating between workers of the council and the traders.
They went further to say that, the authorities at the council do not worth their salt because they have all the powers to do their work to the fullest but they are compromising with the traders and so they cannot perform their expected task.
The question people are asking is that can’t the council put strategies in place to stop these un-necessary noise-making in the city?
The wise bird tried to see the Chief Administration of the Freetown City Council (FCC) but to no avail.
However, the wise bird will continue to make a follow-up on the issue of noise in the city.
