In a grand style celebration that was full of pump and pageantry of gospel songs and brass band precession that was witnessed by pupils parents, school authorities, including host of dignitaries from all walks of life who were all in jubilant mood to grace the second annual anniversary celebration of the Philipson ACADEMY secondary school at Allentown, Freetown, was described by many onlookers as unique and thrilling.

The proprietor of the school Mr. Benjamin Davies disclosed that he started the school in 2018 with JSS which has now grown to primary and nursery, adding that his hope is to develop further to become one of the greatest in the country and beyond. He also added that his vision is to become Education Minister in the country in the future which is why he is working assiduously to make visible mark on education which he will use as a rostrum to attain his cardinal objective.

Madam Rugiatu Sesay, one of the parents disclosed in an interview to this press on Sunday 3rd December 2023, in the school compound during the programme confessed that since she admitted her daughter in the school, she has improved tremendously. Similar accolade were also showered on the proprietor for his relentless effort to promote the school which is impacting development of education in the country. In addition, teachers of the school also expressed similar sentiments for Mr. Davies the proprietor whom they referred to as development oriented person that has passion for education and love for the country greatly.
