Despite tremendous efforts from successive governments over the years to retrieve Yenga village in the Kailahun district from the Guinean illegal occupation has been rocked with stalemate.
In a bid to end the protracted tussle, the president of the Sierra Leone Traditional
Healers Association (SLENTHA) Dr. Alhaji Mohamed Konneh recently disclosed to this press that they have thrown a challenge to government of Sierra Leone that they have all it takes to remove our occupied territory from the Guineans without a single drop of blood.
To substantiate this commitments, Mr. Mathew Amadu who is au-fait with the pedigree of one of the most renowned and very powerful traditional healers (Herbalist) in the country Dr. Shekubah Tarawallie who is also the President of the Council of Traditional Healers Association disclosed that he has the power to do whatever it takes if they are mandated by the power that be. In fact, he referred to himself as a ‘Bull Dozer’ that can remove a rock.
Dr. Fallah James another very powerful herbalist from Kailahun district also maintained that he has no doubt in the assurance that their President Dr. Alhaji Mohamed Konneh has given, adding that they are like foot soldiers that are always ready to move whenever they are ordered. He also added that Guineans are our brothers and sisters but their recalcitrant attitude to vacate our land is really heart-rending and we cannot go in to blows with them as family. Nevertheless, he said they have the means to handle the situation amicably.
However, many Sierra Leoneans who are aware of this latest development are soliciting government to try them as long as there will be no physical confrontation with the Guineans who illegally occupied Yenga during the warring years in our country. And even when the war has ended for decades they have deliberately refused to quit.
