The management of Lions Football Club has disclosed the departure of Head Coach Charlie Wright, according to the club’s press release.
The decision was said to have been taken through a mutual understanding after some extensive discussions between the club’s management and Coach Wright.
Management underscores the necessity for a “swift” change in leadership to drive the team towards the club’s season objectives.
Stepping into the role of interim head coach is assistant Coach Raymond Gerard Hunter, a figure who’s hyped to be well-versed in the team’s dynamics and he is said to possess considerable experience that promises a stability during this transitional phase. Acknowledging Coach Wright’s significant contributions and unwavering commitments to the club during his tenure, the decision to part-ways with the club was reached with a careful consideration, management says.
East End Lions FC have expressed heartfelt gratitude to Coach Wright for his dedicated service and had extended well wishes for his future endeavours.
