The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shalimar Trading Company has donated 4 bathroom facilities to Murray Town barracks in Freetown.
This gesture was done in a bid to beef up the status of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) specifically on restroom and other facilities at the barracks.
Mr. Musa Morrowa is an exclusive importer of Tricycles (Kekeh and TVs bikes) from India into Sierra Leone.
Over the years, he knew that the barracks had been facing challenges of toilet facilities.
On the recent donation, he emphasized the incredible work of Sierra Leone military particularly in the area of ensuring security at all times.
“ As a credible company, we are delighted to offer the 4 restrooms facilities to our hardworking army personnel, we’re really proud of you; I believe the same opportunity will continue in the future,” he said.
In his response, H. A. Borin, Chief of Staff, 3th Brigade, Murray Town Barracks, expressed pleasure and delights for the wonderful gift by Shalimar and Co. adding that the lavatouries will be fully unitized as expected by the donor.
“We are happy for this wonderful gift from Shalimar Trading Company in the country, and on behalf of the RSLAF, we deeply appreciate the effort and support shown,” he said.
He expressed belief that other reputable companies will imitate the unique work of Shalimar.
Meanwhile, Moses Kamara, a junior military officer at Murray Town Barracks, assured journalists that the facilities would be properly managed, adding that this year’s donation by Shalimar Company will make huge difference within the barracks.
He went on to say that despite the challenge they are having with regards access to water but he hopes that with the timely intervention by Mr. Shalimar, the situation will be better in the future.
