Country Lodge Hotel has hindered the work of parliament, says Hon Mohamed Billoh Shaw.
He said the hotel’s senior administrator one Mr. Crew failed to furnish the Committee on Tourism and Culture with key: 2021 financial statement, bank statement, work permit for his foreign staff, payment and registration license to National Tourist Board among other relevant documents.
The Hotel Administrator, Mr. Crew, he said had also failed to tender payment and registration of license to the National Tourism Board of Sierra Leone.
According to Hon. Shaw, it is a clear indication that the services Mr. Crew had been rendering to foreigners was not properly done, adding the failure to present the necessary documents to the Committee informed his decision. The MP hails from Falaba district and he is resolute in taking decision.
The MP urged the Hotel to tender the aforesaid documents to the Committee’s Clerk not later than 28, February, 2024 for thorough scrutiny.
Hotel Administrator, Mr. Crew, disclosed to the Committee that they have been managing their waste through Masada and Mr. Klin Waste Management Companies but there were no documents to showcase for those activities.
The Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Mohamed Sheriff Rahman Coker urged Mr. Crew to tender the necessary documents to the Committee’s Clerk for proper scrutiny.
