Ex-Kallon FC goalkeeper, Aruna “Bangla” Kamara, has narrowly escaped a backbone fracture which could have permanently stopped him from playing for the national team and Kallon FC in future years.
In his statement, the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Thomas Daddy Brima, said: “I am overwhelmed and thrilled to inform all football stakeholders and the public that goalkeeper Aruna Bangla Kamara has successfully undergone his backbone surgery which recently had stopped him from playing for the national team and club, FC Kallon.”
“As promised few weeks back that my leadership is committed in ensuring goalkeeper Bangla regains his health status, all bills were paid by the Football Association,” SLFA president confirmed.
