Magistrate Hadiru Daboh on Friday August 18, 2023 sentenced 2 OSD Officers Idrissa Andrew Koroma, Issa Momoh Turay and seven others to serve 4 years imprisonment each consecutively.

The accused, Idrissa Andrew Koroma, Issa Momoh Turay, Mohamed Yansaneh, Abdul Abu Bangura,, Sheku Mansaray, Hassan Kamara and Paul Kamara were before Magistrate Hadiru Daboh of Ross Road Court No. 3  on two counts of conspiracy contrary to law and larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the charge sheet on count 1 on conspiracy, all 7 accused on Saturday 9 October 2021 at Jolaks Manufacturing Company, Wellington Industrial Estate, Freetown, conspired together with other persons unknown to commit a felony to wit larceny.

On count 2, all accused on the same date and place stole dozens of gallon oil worth five hundred and ninety four million Leones, property of Jolaks Manufacturing Company.

Reading the judgment on Friday August 18, 2023, Magistrate Daboh said, the witnesses testimony corroborated and looking into the entire evidence the accused are guilty of the offenses charge.

The 1st, 2nd, 5th, 7th,  and 9th accused are sentenced to 4 years imprisonment each to serve consecutively whiles the 8th accused person Hassan Kamara sentenced to the time spent in detention i.e. he was acquitted and discharged.

The 3rd accused Mohamed Yansaneh escaped whiles they were put on bail, but he is going to serve his sentence whenever he is arrested..
