The head coach of Portsmouth FC, John Mousinho, has confirmed that striker Abu Kamara, who is on loan from Norwich, was injured on Monday after he was hit badly by his opponent.
The Sierra Leone native, Kamara, damaged his ankle following a challenge in their 2-0 win over Bolton Wanders.
He attempted to play on but had to be replaced by Gavin Whyte some moments later.
Despite the on-loan Portsmouth winger had to be substituted just after the hour mark, they won 2-0 during Pompey’s top-of-the-table clash with Bolton.
The Blues will assess the forward’s injury in greater detail at end of week.
In the meantime, Blues boss, John Mousinho, remains positive on the club’s next changes despite the player’s injury.
“He just rolled his ankle. There was a bit of [body] contact there, and he’s rolled his ankle. He can put his wait through it. He’s got an ice-bag on it and it’s one of those we’re going to look at and see how it settles down but hopefully he’s fine,’ he reaffirmed.
Despite their win, Portsmouth maintains their current position without a move at the League One summit.
The result was shown after scoring late in both first and second halves to beat a team in-form in the league Bolton at Fratton Park Stadium.
