One of the most outstanding Leone stars midfielder in recent times, Alusine Koroma, has signed a two-year contract with Orihuela CF in the Segunda Federation, in the fourth level of the Spanish football league. The deal is entered with an undisclosed fee.
During his first half of the campaign, Koroma made sixteen appearances for Velez FC before joining rivals Orihuela FC. It was tough for him as he was unable to mark a great performance out of his sixteen previous appearances.
“I am delighted to be part of Orihuela CF, and I am looking forward to helping the team as much as possible,” he said.
“As I step into a new football adventure, my heart swells with gratitude for each and every one of you.
“My time at Velez has been nothing short of incredible, brimming with unforgettable memories and the unwavering support of the staff, management was unforgettable, especially Coach Magnus – a true father figure to me the board, and the passionate fans. “You’ve made Velez for us to feel at home,” Koroma noted.
However, Koroma was part of the East End Lions team that emerged victorious in the Sierra Leone National Premier League in 2018/2019 season.
He’s got an experience in a trial with Real Balompédica Linense, a Spanish club where his twin brother, Alhassan, had already signed for.
Alhassan signed for the club, and, in February 2021, he made his debut for the reserve team against CD Alcalá Del Valle.
Temporarily, In June 2021, both Koroma brothers extended their contract with Linense till June, 2021.
At home, football lovers are seeking for a better national team in a bid to competing with other Africa countries.
