The wise bird has been following every development relating to the Chieftaincy election in the Ribbi Chiefdom.
Over the weekend, the brave bird flew to the headquarter town of the Chiefdom, Bradford, to get firsthand information in respect of the Chieftaincy election.
And, on arrival in Bradford, the wise bird met a mammoth crowd at the native Court Barray holding a meeting as to how to find ways to bring peace, unity and oneness in the Chiefdom.
At the meeting, one of the elders in the Chiefdom, Rev. Simpson Spencer was addressing Chiefdom members in which he said the Chiefdom had been without a leader for almost five years (5) now adding that, any house without a leader is a broken house.
Rev. Spencer prayed for God to bring them a leader who has the Chiefdom at heart for a better Chiefdom.
The wise bird was able to later learn that, the Chieftaincy election has been slated for the 18th January 2024.
Upon sounding the views of the people, the wise bird was told that, some of the contenders were disqualified during the process of declaration; and notable among them was one Victor Mahoi.
However, the brave bird was made to understand that, two of the contenders had stood down to support the most popular Candidate Kenneth Mahoi in the interest of peace and unity in the Chiefdom.
The only advice the wise bird has for Mr. Turay, the District Officer (DO) and the Provincial Secretary is for them to do the needful to avoid chaos in the Chiefdom.
Everybody is hoping to see a peaceful election, provided the election is conducted in a free, fear, and transparent manner.
Bra Parrot is still in Ribbi Chiefdom flying over to abreast himself with latest developments relating to the Chieftaincy election.
