School-to-school soccer contest is organized as the foundation to tap outstanding players in a bid to give hope to the cries of young lads in football in the country.
On Saturday, December 2, 2023 the Sierra Leone Football Association issued a press release regarding the postponement of F4S tournament due to the sad security situation in the country at the moment.
According to the Head of Media and Marketing of SLFA, Ibrahim Kamara, said the lunching ceremony, which was scheduled for the 4th, 5th, and 6th December in Makeni City, has been officially postponed to a date in 2024 with further details to be announced later.
Adding that the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) regretted any inconvenience that the postponement may cause on participants and spectators as they remain committed to seeing that F4S project kicks start with the aim of providing Sierra Leoneans’ school children education and football opportunities.
But, football lovers are dismayed with the current unfortunate development because, they said, for them, soccer is a tool for a nation building.
