The Wise Bird, up till now, is not fortunate to have a convenience and confortable sitting place since the historic Cotton Tree was brought down by a heavy storm almost a year ago.
Bra Parrot is not as inquisitive and hypocritical creature as some people may have passive the most respected, and elderly bird to be, only that he is all over the country to report stories as they are seen.
The Wise Bird, few days ago, flew to the West-end of the capital Freetown looking for a comfortable place to sit after a day’s work as the bird loves trees so much.
As a peaceful citizen with greatness, and respect for the seat of power, he flew to State Lodge to see the First Lady cooking, even though she has cooked, but once on a while she takes care of her specialties and that of the Pa.
Even though the Wise Bird did not taste the stew, but he was fed with the aroma of the stew when he gets there. Because of the security situation, the brave bird did not go down but stayed up the tree to watch down.
During the process of eating at the Lodge, the Wise Bird overheard one of the workers talking about the Maada/Fatima Foundation, and upon hearing that, the Wise Bird went closer to get more from the conversation.
But as if they knew the brave bird was around they did not continue with the discussion.
The questions the Wise Bird wants to ask are, did the Foundation register before or during their tenure in office as President/First, if at all the Foundation do exit as alleged, what are its function(s)?
Upon investigations by the Wise Bird it was revealed that, the Foundation has a bank account at the Guarantee Trust Bank, allegedly.
The irony is that, people do not know about the Foundation including the Wise Bird unlike the Hands Off our Girls that is well known through the length and breadth of the country that the initiative has received funding from every quarter, but today, which is almost dead.
The Wise Bird is of the view that, the Foundation should not be made secret, and their functions should be made known to the people of Sierra Leone.
As usual, the Wise Bird does not do things in isolation or rather single- handedly, so he sounded the views of people whether they knew about the Foundation, and most of the people expressed dismay over the news; some say things are always done in secret in this country.
The Wise Bird tried to contact the First Lady, on her phone number which the brave will not disclose to the public for security reasons, to get her reaction but to no avail.
