The Chairman of Bo Rangers football club, Mr. Babadi Kamara, has donated fifty -bags of rubber granules material to FC Kallon to be used on an artificial turf.
He does so in a bid to promoting peace and good relationship amongst stakeholders of the Premier League teams in the ongoing Leone Rock Premier 2023/24 season in the country.
His inputs aim to boost FC Kallon’s ongoing artificial turf project at the MK3/10 field at Goderich village in west of Freetown
The donation ceremony took place today at the FC Kallon training pitch, Angola field.
Mohamed Kallon, the Chief Executive Officer of FC Kallon spoke to sport lovers with prominent football stakeholders and sports journalists.
He told them that the event marked a momentous occasion where the spirit of collaboration and support within the Sierra Leonean football community shone brightly.
He noted that the rubber granules material which is meant to be used on the artificial turf would be of great help in enhancing the quality and performance of artificial pitches.
The rubber granules for artificial turfs are meticulously spread across the stabilizing sand layer where they provide essential support to the grass blades, Kallon said.
Kallon maintained that the artificial turf rubber granules also serve as a protective layer as it mitigates the risk of player injuries during intense matches and training sessions.
