It seems as if some unclean people are still bent on ruining this Country further by rejuvenating their old detestable tricks by way of not operating the way people expected them to operate.
It is sad to see that, at this stage of our struggle to bring Sierra Leone back on an even knee, some people still endeavor with over-zealousness to drag the country backwards through diabolical acts for selfish reasons.
Sierra Leoneans and foreigners alike love wealth, whether it is genuine wealth or not, nobody cares.
People create avenues of various kinds in order to be wealthy, not caring whether their scramble for wealth will crush their fellowmen or even the Country as a whole.
All what they care for is the end result of their scramble. It is sad to learn the deplorable fact that, Sierra Leone and Sierra Leoneans have still not recovered from the senseless civil war.
The fact still remains that there are individuals in our midst in this time of democracy who still survive on corrupt practices and have the detestable feeling that they will continue their nefarious acts and go free without justice.
It is a crime in every Country for public officers to turn public money to theirs, they did not only rob the State of cherished revenue but it is also a security risk to the government and the people.
Sierra Leone has always been dubbed as a free-for-all State where individuals do things without due regard to the law of the State and its people.
The late President Dr. Alhaji Tejan Kabbah created a good number of institutions like NPPA, NRA, NaCSA to name but a few in order to bring more revenue into the government to run government activities. But to the dismay of the people of Sierra Leone those Heads in most of these institutions are only there to amass wealth for themselves and families and not for the State.
Before now, such clandestine activities had gone to sleep for a while but it seems they have now awakened and with renewed vigor.
The government needs to clamp down on these crooks and bring them to book otherwise the government and the State will continue to lose huge sums of needed funds to run the activities of the State.
But on the other hand some government functionaries are part of the corrupt activities, how can they act to bring other people to book without them not involve in the show.
