The Chief Executive Officer of Unified Cleaning Company, Bangalie Marah, on Friday 8th September, 2023 received a meritorious award from Media Network Movement in recognition for his tremendous and outstanding contributions in the cleaning sector as one of the best cleaning companies in Sierra Leone.
Handing over the award to the CEO Marah, the Director of Media Network Movement Isack Mansaray said that the reason they choose Mr. Marah to award him is because of the job his company has been doing across the various areas of his operation especially the House of Parliament.
According to Mr. Mansaray, over the years several companies have been contracted by the administration of Parliament to clean parliament but were not up to the task.
He maintained that, since the Unified Cleaning Company was contracted to do the job, both Members of Parliament, the administration and visitors going to parliament have showered praises on the company great transformative action of the entire precincts of the Parliament.
Receiving the award, CEO Marah thanked the Director of Media Network for considering him for such an award.
He said they didn’t make any mistake to hand him such an awesome award, noting that his company has been working tooth and nail to ensure that their clients are given the best services they deserved.
CEO Marah informed that, as a company they want to change the perception of people regarding cleaning.
He said people should stop seeing those that are working in cleaning companies as less important human beings, a reason he thought it wise to employ 80% of young and energetic women that are professionally trained in the field of cleaning.
He assured Sierra Leoneans that with his company, he will be able to cater for both government and private entities with utmost professionalism.
He therefore called on government to award him the contract for cleaning the hospitals, stating that the facilities are currently in bad shape.
He promised to keep those facilities clean if given the opportunity to do so.
He said “cleaning those facilities is not just about having mops, dry cleaners and other chemicals, but the skills on how to clean each and every facility” he asserted.
He informed that his cleaning company compose of Sierra Leonean workers, noted that should he have more contracts from government he will be able to employ more citizens which will absolutely help government in its job creation and women’s empowerment.
