Some football lovers have labeled Babadi Kamara as the ‘deliverer’ of Sierra Leone football following his earlier appointment as team manager of Leone Stars.
He is heaped praises though the men’s national team was unable to make a breakthrough during his reign.
He is chairman of Bo Rangers Football Club and he is popularly known to have constructed a 6,000 capacity stadium, called Southern Arena Stadium.
Kamara has, indeed, evolved as a leading figure in Sierra Leone football.
He is able to achieve such a feat within four years and Bo Rangers football club’ players and residents of Bo city are happy for Babadi’s infrastructural developments.
Before Babadi Kamara’s chairmanship, players are paid for with low transfer fees to their clubs.
But, in 2021, this phenomenon changed rapidly as he made the first record transfer deal valued at about 225,000,000 ( two hundred and twenty five thousand leones) for striker, Musa Noah Kamara from East End Lions football club.
Back then, Sierra Leone football had suffered a serious setback when CAF announced on Saturday 27th February 2021, it was banning the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown for hosting international matches.
After the inspection of the new Southern Arena, the Vice President of SLFA, stated that he was highly impressed by the stadium standard facility.
