Many demonstrations have been held by one of the most popular social media activist, commonly known as Adebayor. I am feeling that burning and emotional pain considering the unprecedented killings which have happened in recent time.
And the never-forgotten demonstration was the August 10th demonstration in 2022 which painted an ugly picture of your government to the international communities and it created a serious topsy-turvy within government departments, agencies, stakeholders and the ordinary masses who suffered the hardest humiliation and pain during and after the protest.
As patriotic citizens, they should always be there to protect their country in good faith against any government. Edward Abbey says that a patriot must always be ready to defend his country against his government.
In a democratic society, demonstrations are held by the masses when they feel that they have been deprived of their economic, political, civil, social and cultural rights. In most cases, you considered it as a tourist attack in order to damage the good name of your government. Mr. President, I hope that you are well-aware about September 11 nationwide demonstration which the well-known Adebayor will also be the face of this upcoming demonstration.
From a critical look of things, it seems that this demonstration will be the biggest of all, and it is something you should give a logical attention into. Warning Mr. President! I don’t want you to underestimate the voice of Adebayor as the masses believe in him so much.
Honestly, the increment of fuel price per liter makes the situation unbearable and all parts of the nation including your strongholds are feeling the severe hardship. As it stands, you really need to fix things up urgently because the masses and even top government officials listen to Adebayor every now and then and the more they listen to him, the more the masses get captivated and ready to face the demonstration. The momentum of the demonstration is pumping up speedily more especially in the north-west.
The masses are in deep preparations to do a peaceful demonstration against the price inflation, rapid increment of dollar, fuel increment, injustice, massive corruption in your government, the incredibility of the ECSL and the whole electioneering process. And this peaceful protest will serve as a way for ordinary Sierra Leoneans to have their voices heard, and you need to look into their cries and address the challenges for the benefit of all Sierra Leonean.
On that note, as a president, I want you to have a dialogue with all security agencies in way to guide and protect the citizens during the demonstration. The masses need total protection if possible I will like you as a responsible leader to provide at least water or any basic food for the protesters. Also, ensure that the Sierra Leone Police should implement all sense of professionalism by not firing any teargas or bullets at any protester. This will benefit the police, decision-making authorities and the people participating in monitoring the demonstration and also help to guarantee the right of freedom of assemble of all and sundry in a democratic society.
Mr. President, note that citizens go into protest for social and economic changes and it is essential in a pluralistic democracy. Basically, the sharing of information by citizens on demonstrations surely serves as an eye opener to you in addressing the burning menaces that are affecting the ordinary masses presently.
In conclusion, please Mr. President, never underestimates this forthcoming September 11th demonstration that is pumping everywhere on social media, the market squares and attaya bases. Ensure that no protester is killed and try at least to moderate the situation on ground by allowing the protesters to demonstration peacefully. Thanks for having me and I hope you will handle the situation responsibly as a democratic leader. Much respect and regards! Have a blissful and splendid weekend.
