Say what you may about the wise Bra Parrot he will never bend down to pressure no matter what. He will always stand by the people and what he writes.
That is more the reason sober minded people love to read his articles because he is not hypocritical in any way as he fears telling lies to the people he represents. Those who know Bra Parrot well know he always calls things by their correct and proper names.
The problem Bra Parrot presently has with those advising the President is that, they are not honest to themselves and to the President because they cannot look at the President to his face and tell him the naked truth for fear they would be sacked. Please don’t allow the patient bird to vex.
Please you better sack yourselves now, otherwise Bra Parrot’s sledge hammer will not spear you for squandering state funds for nothing like our suspended and shamed Clerk of Parliament’s wife who collected and swallowed millions of leones without a day’s work in office thanks to the ACC that exposed everything.
How can a sitting government suppress the people it’s supposed to provide them what they want as mandated if not in totality?
Governments by all intend and purposes exist to seek the interest of their subjects by providing them their basic necessities including but not limited to food, shelter, and quality health facility, access to clean drinking water, education, transportation and security.
For instance, the world over, transportation is largely run by the private sector. However, governments also control part of the sector as way to reduce the cost of transport fare on the citizens.
But this scenario is not practicable here in our own country as we are currently seeing. Unlike in other countries, here in Sierra Leone, instead government’s transport services are very much expensive to the chagrin of those the facility is meant for. WHAT A COUNTRY?
Before this time commercial drivers were in the habit of taking passengers halfway instead of their correct destinations especially in the city.
This situation in most cases ended in serious confrontations. It’s a good idea though for government to bring or operate buses once it’s meant to reduce transport fare.
But Bra Parrot cannot believe this that his government can really do otherwise to increase instead of to reduce. WHAT A SHAME? Bo govment kerr u bus dem go back usai u pull dem. Nor cam add par we trouble oh ooo!
Bra Parrot is concerned because, once government has decided to increase the fare this is definitely going to give leeway to our wicked drivers, kekeh and okada riders to have a field day by increasing their prices beyond limit.
Nobody in his right frame of mind was thinking that fare for government bus service was going to be Nle10 pole to pole, as commercial fare was pegged at NLe5.
From all indications the government has just legalized the half-way transportation system in the country by making buss fare Nle 10 pole to pole per person. This is very UNREASONABLE TO SAY THE LEAST. Don’t ask the angry bird why, before he explodes.
The government of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) is not in any way realistic in doing things. It has forgotten so soon it campaign messages to the people of alleviating their sufferings.
The people of this country were expecting the government to make its own price cheaper to let the people know that they are here to help the poor and needy. Bo una sef look dem just dae add par we burden?
As usual the brave bird went out to sound the views of people on this unfortunate situation and as expected, almost all the people Bra Parrot contacted expressed dismay and anger over it.
Some of them said the government has just legalized the halfway transportation system which some wicked drivers introduced over the years. They insisted the government don’t have sympathy for the people who voted them in power.
They went further to say that the SLPP government is always like that who seek their own interest only rather than the people they governed or represent.
With the present situation, the people are envisaging problem in future in respect of bus fare hike.
