Much is expected from every Sierra Leonean either big or small to join hands on deck for the development of our beloved nation.
The only way Sierra Leone will rise as a nation is to have very strong and innate tendency inculcated into the minds of Sierra Leoneans as a way to always remind us that we have a commitment to our country.
It is no secret that hardship, greed, selfishness and abject poverty had taken center stage in our lives as people and as a result of these menaces respect for elders no longer exists.
As one people, we should encourage ourselves to put all these socio-economic factors behind us and have similar aims, objectives and a common interest to build our beloved Sierra Leone.
The biggest problem in Sierra Leone today is the educated elite, because we rank them higher.
It is a fact the uneducated men or women know very little about governance, and they are not interested to go to Parliament. They don’t work in banks, and they don’t work in any of the big offices in town, but only those who are educated are placed in higher places by holding top positions in governance. So, plus or minus, the educated elite are the problems in our country today and always.
Let us take for instance the 30% quota for women (GEWE BILL) that was passed into law by members of parliament, how many women will be beneficiaries? But only the educated women who are Lawyers, Doctors, Teachers to name but a few will benefit, Mammy Fatu at Dove-cut knows nothing about a 30% quota for women in Parliament.
Sierra Leone will never rise to her acme as long as we continue to have leaders who are not honest and sincere and are at the helm of affairs. It will be hard for ‘Mama Salone’ to rise to the top in development.
It is a fact that all those who were ministers during the era of late President Kabbah are today ministers in the governance of incumbent President Bio. So who will develop Sierra Leone? These educated elites know how to plunder the State by changing 5-8 at any given time at the detriment of the ordinary masses who are half or uneducated.
