As the female tournament is underway, Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), has announced the squad lists.
That is for both the Sierra Leone senior female team and the U17, gearing up for the women’s day cup organized by Ramkay in collaboration with SLFA.
The tournament will be hosted in Kenema starting from 1st to the 8th March, 2024.
The women’s national football team is currently in Kenema to kick off training sessions for the upcoming friendly tournaments in the country.
SLFA has recently extended an invitation to both Liberia’s U-17 and U-20 women’s teams to participate in the international women’s football tournament to be played in Kenema City.
Coinciding with International Women’s Day on March 8th, the tournament will also feature the U-17 and U-20 women’s national teams of Sierra Leone.
This initiative serves as a strong representation of both countries joining the global community to advocate for gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The Liberia Football Association Head Coach Sekou Mulbah of the U-17 women’s team had expressed his enthusiasm for the competition, highlighting its potential to further prepare his players for the next stage of the World Cup qualifiers.
This tournament provides a valuable opportunity for young female athletes to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience while promoting gender equality in the world of football.
