Bra Parrot is not in a steady state of mind to comment on the total reaction of the international world to reject the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) for not keeping the democratic principles the world is looking up to.
However, the wise bird is of the view that, our only problem has been the failure of the present government to see the reality on the ground.
But the slow pace or the seeming unconcerned attitudes of some countries especially those in West Africa are sending a signal that is making Bra Parrot be afraid that all might not end well especially in favour of the opposition Red House because even before its legislators took their seats in parliament after a protracted dialogue mediated by the very international bodies, the House has already started to pass bills.
So the question what next is no longer necessary to Bra Parrot, because all what he knows the game is now over whether others believe it or not.
One thing that is very much clear is that, at the moment with or without the opposition the government is working comfortably.
To substantiate that, and what the Wise Bird has inter alia stated is that if Parliament had gone ahead to ratify bills or approved presidential nominees without the opposition or prior to the latter taking their seats then, the government can work without other political parties at will.
But the question that keeps bothering the wise bird every day and night is that will there be peace in the country without the involvement of the opposition in governance system? The answer is BIG NO.
It is against this backdrop and the development of the country that the patriotic and peaceful bird is appealing to all and sundry devoid of every affiliation or background to sit down and give very serious consideration to the present simmering political situation in the country and find a common ground.
Otherwise I’m afraid, my brothers and sisters that this country will face, far from it, the worst moment in its history.
May common sense prevail!
