Twenty-one years old Santigie Kamara a Labourer, Twenty-two years old Lamin Kamara a builder and Twenty-Six years old Abu Bakarr Koroma a Masoner made their first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba Road Court No.6 in Freetown on a count of being found at the place used for smoking cannabis sativa contrary to section 49 (1) of the pharmacy and drugs Act of 2001.
According to the particulars of offence, on Thursday 20th July, 2023 at Hill station the mountain rural district the in western area of Freetown were found at a place used for smoking cannabis sativa and Indian hemp to wit Kush.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused persons they pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor, Deputy Superintendent of police Marie Sesay told the court that fact as charge no available records against the accused persons.
The accused persons were unrepresented by legal representative and therefore they pleaded with the court to tamper justice with mercy.
Magistrate Gogra due to the plea mitigation by the accused persons sentenced each accused persons to one week imprisonment to the male correctional center in Freetown.
