Philanthropists are people who render assistance to the needy as well as less privileged in society and also give aid to save lives; by assisting in different ways to the admiration of government, donor partners and the general populace as a whole.

Mackie’s assistance cuts across in the business world and other sectors; he has been rendering an unending support to people by ensuring that things are done the right way. As such, personalities like Ahmed Mackie are worthy to be praised and do not deserve any blemish or blackmailing in our society. Nevertheless, no man is perfect in life; as such, Mackie may not be an exception, however he deserves commendations.

The Mackie Family has contributed in their own ways by ensuring individuals have better lives and help the country to grow. This, they have been doing in the form of contributions and pledges.

Mackie has formed a business world and he has huge investments in the country, and he is expanding market growth.

The uncountable Ahmad Mackie, has done great work in the country, as his main objective is to see a rapid and positive business development in the country through several business ventures; since the 80s to date.

In an exclusive interview with some community stakeholders in Freetown, they told Africa24 newspaper that the Romanian-Sierra Leonean business and professional tycoon Mackie; who also doubles as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maccem Industries SL Lmited is in an advanced stage in the construction of a new cement factory.

Addressing other Sierra Leoneans who are doing business, he said, that he has already created thousands of sustainable jobs for some unemployed youth at the Hastings community and in Western Area Rural District and beyond.

The good news is that before the completion of the modern cement factory, Ahmed Mackie has already created jobs for thousands of technical and casual workers in the rural communities since.

There are decent people in society, who many believe; their reputation should not be smeared in the public eye through some ‘media outlets’ aired by irresponsible journalists and some civil society organizations in the country.

Maccem Industries Ltd. has employed over 300 (three hundred workers) and 95% of these workers are mainly Sierra Leoneans who are helping the government to achieve its economic growth target.

This is more in the form of job creation for many Sierra Leoneans. During the cholera outbreak in the country, Mr. Mackie donated medical equipment to the Kissy community with some containers of medical drugs to the destitute.

He has also rendered useful assistance to the disabled in Sierra Leone; his goodwill gesture is felt by many people at all levels.

Despite the challenges of COVID-19 pandemic in Sierra Leone, food items were donated to poor by the philanthropist.

Meanwhile, Maccem cement factory company is the first indigenous cement factory in the country that produces large quantity of cement at a low cost price made by the country’s own local raw materials.

The Mackie Family has created employment for about 100’s of Sierra Leoneans and has made so many strides in various sectors in the country since independence.

At the moment, customers of Maccem Cement Factory are travelling to and fro in the country to buy both national and international cement produced by Maccem.

Ahmad Mackie, is a household name in the business world in Sierra Leone mainly because of his humanitarian gestures which the Mackie family has been rendering to individuals, football and community social clubs, organizations etc. The Mackays have undertaken several ventures all bent on helping the people of Sierra Leone especially the needy and less privileged.
