Though the century’s football status is in acute crisis, the Sierra Leonean active lad, Kagira, has made a landmarked progress in England over the weekend.
Baraka Kargira Minabien Kargbo, the Macclesfield under 23 whites, secured a thrilling 4-3 victory against Colne under 23, and the player showcased remarkable flexibility. Sierra Leone international, Kagira, secured the crucial third goal, turning the tide after his side, were 1-3 down at the 65-minute mark.
The team, facing an undefeated top-ranking opponent, displayed courage and determination.
Full goal scorers list includes: Kingsley Nuro, Baraka Minabien Kargbo, and Carlos Dos Santos with a brace, although, Carlos Dos Santos earned the well-deserved Man of the Match Honour.
Speaking to Baraka Minabien Kargira Kargbo, he revealed to Africa24 sport desk that his performance in a bid to earn a victory against their opponent was a notable success for his career, adding that playing for Sierra Leone men’s national team has been a wonderful dream come true to him.
