As Sierra Leonean players continue to make more progress in Europe over the years, Leone Stars forward Ali ‘Nzonzi’ Conteh has scored his first goal.
He now plays for the Norwegian second division side team Mjøndalen IF Football. He was formerly FC Kallon player in Sierra Leone.
He was the top goal scorer in the previous Sierra Leone Primer League season.
He joined the Norwegian second division side Mjøndalen IF Fotball following a successful try-out, though he was unfortunate to accomplish his first trial.
However, reports indicate that Mjøndalen has successfully secured Conteh’s work and resident permit, paving the way for his participation in the ongoing season which has started April this year.
And soccer pundits are unhappy with the way, nature and structure of the national team.
In addition of Conteh expectations to bolster Mjøndalen’s forward line, he has added depth and skill to the team.
Meanwhile, Mjøndalen FC was founded in 1910 and has been a renowned football club based in Mjøndalen, Viken, in Norway. Competing in the Obos Ligaen, the club plays its home matches at the 4,350-capacity Consto Arena.
After suffering a relegation from the Eliteserien in 2021, Mjøndalen is now eager to regain its status as a top-tier team in Norwegian football.
And Conteh has garnered attention both domestically and internationally for his prowess as a striker.
With notable performances in the Premier League, including standout displays for FC Kallon and East End Lions, Conteh has established himself and has become an arduous existence on the pitch.
