The Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) grassroots members and other staunch supporters have expressed their unflinching support for Musa Tarawally to succeed President Julius Maada Bio in 2028.
According to the grassroots, Musa Tarawally is a replica of President Julius Maada who always believes in them and the party’s co-existence.
At the party’s headquarters in Freetown, many perceive Musa Tarawally as a “trailblazer” for the development of Sierra Leone and that he is a man who believes in human capital development like President Bio.
“Like President Julius Maada Bio like Musa Tarawally.”
These two names are synonymous to the empowerment of young and old in the country.
“They show no boundary when dispensing their duties and responsibilities,” one Isata Massa Sandy said yesterday.
She said Musa Tarawally is a strategist and has a plethora of experience in governance as well as in advocacy to lure investors to bring in more investments in the country.
As political gem, Tarawally has provided employment opportunities for many SLPP’s grassroots members and has contributed immensely to the successes of the Sierra Leone People’s Party in 2018 and in 2023 elections.
Many grassroots support based organizations have also shared similar sentiments regarding the high profile political gem in the person of Musa Tarawally.
They said, Musa Tarawally is a politically strategic figure and has the “wherewithal tacit and tactics” to win voters’ mind in 2028 election in the first ballot.
And so, they said, “A wrong choice within the SLPP for Bio’s successor will deter the wining chance of the party in 2028. But as grassroots members we know the levels of experience, efficiencies and effectiveness of our leaders. We can judge their strengths and weaknesses.” “Musa Tarawally has 85% chance to win the hearts of the grassroots of the SLPP and other stakeholders,” Christopher Kallon told our reporter.
According to Kallon, there will be more chances of SLPP winning the first ballot in 2028 if only the party gets the best candidate to challenge the APC.
He maintained that, Musa Tarawally is a good candidate and he has strong national support; he can make things better for the party and will deliver on whatever the party’s manifesto promises.
He revealed that, SLPP grassroots members know who to become their President and who can win and deliver results for the party, asserting that Musa Tarawally has the capability and the strategy to “sail smoothly to State House come 2028.”
Some stakeholders, who have assessed some party stalwarts, had told this medium that, Musa Tarawally could be the fittest to succeed President Julius Maada Bio.
According these stakeholders, they believe power belongs to the grassroots and from their assessments, Musa Tarawally tops the chat of the ambitious leadership hierarchy of the party, and that and he can make the party jubilate in the coming elections.
“Musa Tarawally is another redeemer for the SLPP. We need someone next to work hard in protecting the legacies of President Julius Maada Bio,” stakeholders said.
Many went further to say that, apart from protecting Bio’s legacies, they believe Mr. Tarawally will sustain the Free Education flagship project of President Julius Maada Bio.
They underscored the need for getting a candidate like this gentleman who will bring everyone on board within the party.
They called others to embrace a candidate with good national character and who can emulate the example of President Julius Maada and one who believes in the Bio’s agenda.
