The trauma and horror inflicted on August 10 protest has left many lives miserable.
The protest came as a result of the harsh economic realities and the hike of food commodities in the country.
Thousand flee to the streets in protest for the need for government to swiftly intervene and prioritize the living standard of the general masses.
Many fall short including, Kelvin Kae Kamara, Elijah Sankoh, John Sankoh, Kadiatu Kamara,Moses Kamara and Kadiatu Sankoh who reportedly suffered serious beating as a result of the protest.
Family sources said Kelvin Kae Kamara and others are presumed dead while others said they might have escaped narrowly.
Family sources furthered that one of their sisters Kadiatu was gang raped that resulted to an unwanted pregnancy. Kadiatu has been in rough condition since that horrible incident.
At the streets many languished while others are crying for their loved family members who fall victim of the horror.
The protest that was facilitated for rough economic situation becomes death toll for the vulnerable.
Police officers were killed; women were gang raped while homes were ransacked.
The family is still with heart broken, because they have not heard about their loved ones.
Sources pointed out that the police officers have apprehended them while others said they were killed.
Some say Kelvin and others escaped and the mixed information has put family members in doubt of their childrens’ existence especially when corpses of those killed have been buried without contacting family members.
The situation became worst when the military reported from the Presidential guards reportedly took over the streets searching homes of protesters.
Meanwhile, Kelvin and others lives have still not been discovered and a family source informed this medium that all efforts to trace their whereabouts remain fruitless despite contacting police stations and hospitals; but to no avail as they still remain missing.
