As a concerned elderly citizen, the wise bird has been following the latest unfolding developments in the country with keen interest.
After all, Bra Parrot has come to the realization that following the Sunday November incident all has not been well in the country coupled with the endless hardship that has made the people more vulnerable economically and politically.
With these mounting tensions the anxious people are now asking the question that as who of the two country’s leaders, ex-President Ernest Bai Koroma and incumbent President Maada Bio actually do not want peace in the country?
To get the situation right without telling lies, the Patriotic bird braved it out to sound the opinion of people themselves.
As expected, good number of the people apportioned the blame on former President Ernest Bai Koroma, noting that he is acting behind the sense remote controlling the APC which is why there is no peace even within his own APC party itself.
They alleged that the former president also helped created many factions in the APC party and believe there will be no peace as long as he, Ernest is in control.
Meanwhile, some other people cast the blame squarely on the current President, Maada Bio, stressing that he is not a lover of peace which is why they claimed he is creating avenue for chaos in the country.
They charged that in fact there no was reason for the institution of a Peace Commission that has no terms of reference and more so when it’s solely controlled by the President himself.
They told Bra Parrot that the arrest and detention of opposition leaders will never bring peace to this country.
However, the people have squarely shifted the blame to the two gentlemen, insisting that peace will only reign in this Republic if they so desire forgetting their personal egos.
But on the whole, Bra Parrot is of the firm view that, the current President has a bigger role to play in that direction, then Ernest Koroma, because he is presently in control of everything and very much aware that there will be no development in the country without peace.
