After a good performance against their counterpart (Liberian players), shooting Stars of Sierra Leone are now with five points clear out of three matches played and are registering two goals and had conceded one.
Alie Adjust Kamara was introduced in the second half as a way of improving the team’s approach towards the match.
And the 19-years-old lad scored the only goal that created the difference for Sierra Leone thus helping his team to control down Liberia by a 1 nil.
His goal is the second for shooting stars in the tournament following Samuel Ghandi openers in their last match against their opponents.
Kamara’s performance has transformed exceedingly since his time with the U-17 team, and that rendered him to transition to the U-20 team.
His impact on the game has been notable so far as evidenced by his ability to create instant impact with his dribbling and mobility skills.
The dribbling tactics of the player helped him to make a perfect finish from a brilliant assist by Samba Juma Bah in the 90+3 minute of play.
His development as a player is evidenced in his ability to make meaningful contributions to the team’s success, and his performance has earned him greater recognition.
He has topped a Man of the Match Award, and it’s clear that Alieu continues to grow and improve as a player.
His success with the U-20 team reflects his dedication and good skills of play on the field.
While the Shooting Stars U20 team has been displaying excellent performance, there is still room for improvement in their execution of vertical passes by the players.
Their performance in the final third of the pitch ahead of a final match is scheduled for Sunday 25th February, 2024 at the Samuel K, Doe Stadium in Liberia.
The tournament is serving as a platform to detect young footballers who should be representing Sierra Leone at the international level.
