The Wise Bra Parrot is known to call things by their proper and correct names at the right time for people to be able to understand what the issues are.

Bra Parrot has been following the activities of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party, decisions they take including the issuance of press statements. Most often some of those statements are very weak to the dislike of their desperate supporters who expect their party to take hardline against the governing administration.

The fearless bird has come to the realization that the party structure is in complete mess as any time the wise bird talks to a party member he/she will give a different version to fit his/her views.

After considerable consideration, angry Bra Parrot had wanted to make a trip to Makeni to get the views of the party’s ‘big-man,’ but after a second thought the clever animal decided to change its mind because the person the wise bird wanted to see and talk to, is considered to be part of the problem in the APC who is no less a person than the former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma.

That consideration did not however stopped from making further enquiry about the APC’s current moves and plans they have for the future if at all. So the wise bird at its own expense went round and about to get especially their member’s take on the present political atmosphere in the country. And as expected all what Bra Parrot got were different elaborate explanations, opinions, suggestions, condemnations and the like.

The angry clever bird didn’t hear or get any sober thing to prove they, APC have intention to regain power in the future not to talk of how they dealing with the current election case in their hand which their anxious members are having sleepless night asking questions as to how far they have pursue it.

Without the least fear, some were even bold enough to charge the past leadership of the party as being unserious.

What the wise bird has able to gather so far from these grassroots people clearly shows that at this moment, the party is divided into three factions.

First is the former President Ernest Bai Koroma’s which is widely believed to be remote controlling the party behind the scenes, the second faction are those who do want the Parliamentarians elect to go to parliament and the last faction are members  who want the elected Members of Parliament to work with the government.

During his earlier enquiries, one of the party members unknowingly talking to the wise bird said that even the present presidential candidate is not in the good books of most senior party members. How true this assertion is, is not the Brave Bird’s business.

However, it appears that some party members have now taken a hard stance, insisting that if the APC fails to put its house in order, they will not only continue to remain in opposition but will make sure they hold senior party big wigs accountable.

A senior member also told the wise bird that working with government will not make sense if the demands of the opposition are not met. “Sierra Leone belongs to all of us,” he said.
