The Sierra Leone Premier League Board (SLPLB) has announced November 3rd, 2023 for the commencement of the new league season.
The new season will start with a Community Shield between Champions Bo Rangers and runner-up Mighty Blackpool on 28th October.
However, eighteen (18) Premier League clubs will receive 80 million old leones each, from the 1.5 billion old Leones the Board received from the Football Association.
The SLPLB noted that this season’s winners will bag 500 million Leones, and the runner-up will take home 250 million Leones.
The closing date for clubs’ registration is on the 27th October, 2023 and all club players are strictly entitled to be registered through FIFA connect online, especially players that will be used in this year’s league, according to the Board.
Nonetheless, the Board will hopefully introduce the reviewed PLB rules and regulations documented from Brookfields Hotel in 2022.
The SLPLB is expected to release fixtures after the ongoing national Division One (1) playoffs as some teams are expected to join the Psrimer League season.
