After their poor performance in the second-leg of the Leone Rock Premier League at the Kingdom Artificial turf over the weekend, Mighty Blackpool fell to a surprise defeat against Lamboi FC from Lungi.
Foday Conteh’s double goals secured all three points for the visitors, leaving the once Mighty Blackpool in a risky position.
This newest setback sees Blackpool suffering in 17th place after 18 matches played in the league.
The poor position represents a serious threat of relegation, a fate unthinkable for one of the league’s most decorated clubs. The loss marks a dismal start to the second round of the competition for Blackpool, thus raising concerns amongst fans, management and onlookers.
The Leone Rock Premier League continues to be seen as a thrilling, spectacular league with teams making unpredictable results thus keeping fanatics on the edge of their seats. Even though teams battle for supremacy at the bottom, others fight desperately to avoid the droplet.
However, Might Blackpool’s struggles are adding another layer of dream to their survival.
